Terms of service
These are the terms you agree to when you create a Homora account. They're plain-English on purpose. If anything here is unclear, email legal@homora.school.
Beta
Homora is currently in early access. The product is functional but evolving — features may change, and we may need to take the service down briefly for upgrades. We'll do our best to give you notice and avoid losing data, but you should keep your own backups of anything mission-critical (transcripts, year-end report cards, compliance bundles). The export tools inside the portal generate those for you on demand.
Your account
- You are responsible for keeping your password confidential.
- One account per person. Don't share logins; create a student account for each kid.
- If your account shows signs of takeover (e.g. simultaneous logins from different devices), Homora may end one of the sessions automatically.
- You must be 18 or older to create a teacher account. Students may have their own login created for them by the parent-teacher who manages the workspace.
Your data
You own what you put in. Homora gets a license to store and display it solely so we can run the portal for you. We don't use your students' work to train models. See the privacy policy for details.
Acceptable use
Don't use Homora to do things that would get you in trouble offline: harassment, infringing other people's copyrights, distributing malware, etc. The AI assistant is filtered against unsafe completions; abusing it to generate harmful content (especially involving minors) will result in account termination.
Pricing & billing
During early access, Homora is offered free of charge. When billing turns on, current accounts will get at least 30 days' notice before any payment is required, and the first-year price will not exceed the rates listed on the pricing page.
Termination
You can close your account at any time by emailing support@homora.school. We will delete the workspace and student records within 30 days. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or the acceptable-use rules; in that case we will give you the chance to export your data before the deletion completes unless the violation involves criminal activity.
Liability
Homora is provided "as is." We don't warrant that it will always be available or that it will be free of bugs. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the fees you've paid us in the 12 months before any claim, which during early access is zero.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States. Disputes go to the state or federal courts in Wake County, NC.
